“We didn't get a script, but I think my reaction is that what it would have felt like reading for the first time is probably very similar to watching it in its entirety for the first time,” he said. “I didn't know a lot of the things ever happening in this film until I saw it. I'm excited for the next round.”
Co-star Hailee Steinfeld, who voices Gwen Stacy in the animated film, also expressed her delight at the film, revealing she was glad to be able to present the project to audiences. “I've been looking forward to this day for a long time for the sake of feeling like I could talk about it and even now I need to know that you've seen it before I talk about it,” she said. “There are so many Easter eggs and surprises and moments that will make you feel some type of way and I don't want to ruin that for you.”
