Reatile Ncube, 19, appears in the ACT Magistrates Court charged with accessory to murder over the shooting death of Canberra man Glenn Walewicz at his front door last June.

Canberra police have made an arrest over the shooting death of a 48-year-old man in Phillip last year. The court heard details of CCTV and traffic camera footage, and phone conversationsReatile Ncube, 19, appeared in the ACT Magistrates Court charged with accessory to murder.Police say there was only one shot fired.

Later, police said a white car they believed may have been involved was found crashed at Denman Prospect. The court heard police have also gathered information from CCTV footage from a bus and traffic cameras placing a dark-coloured car being driven by Mr Ncube at the time in the vicinity of the killing.

He told police the car belonged to a family member but he had been driving it because his own car was not working. The court materials show Mr Ncube was interviewed by police last week, when he admitted he was in the area on June 10 last year but said he did not know anything about the murder, he was not involved and he did not know who was involved. The documents reveal police later monitored a conversation when he discussed the police interview in which he allegedly said: "But f*** bro, f***. I've got to get rid of something — know what I mean.""You do know people know.

The court material shows when police went to arrest him, they seized his phone and allegedly found two live 12-gauge shotgun shells in his bedside table.Posted
