The ACT has recorded 16 new local acquired COVID-19 cases, taking the total number of active cases in the territory to 137.ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr confirmed 13, including Bright Bees Early Learning Centre — the fifth childcare centre to be impacted by the current outbreak.ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr.Mr Barr used this morning's update to announce that 16–29-year-olds would be able to register for a Pfizer vaccine over the coming days.

"I'm pleased to be able to advise that we are now in a position to open the registration process for 16–29-year-olds to receive a Pfizer vaccination at ACT government clinics," Mr Barr said. "What this means is that around 64,000 Canberrans in this 16-29 age cohort who have not yet been vaccinated, can register on My Digital Health Record website to receive a vaccination down the track.Mr Barr said he expected the registrations would be in high demand, and urged patience.

"Canberra is a young city. 16–29-year-olds are a very big part of our cities population. This is a large number of people. So please be patient as we work through the registration process," Mr Barr said. "We will work hard to support you to register for your vaccine. You will not miss the opportunity to make a booking."
