Breaking: Authorities say an active shooter is dead after opening fire on multiple people at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola in Florida, and at least 11 people were hospitalised.
Three people were killed by a shooter at Naval Air Station Pensacola, a major US Navy base in Florida, before sheriff's deputies fatally shot the shooter, authorities said, the second deadly shooting at a US military installation this week.
"There's probably been 100 or so various law enforcement vehicles zooming down the wrong side on Navy Boulevard," Bergosh told the newspaper. "There's been ambulances, fire trucks. It's my understanding there's multiple causalities. The first, at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam in Oahu on Wednesday, came as that installation was preparing to mark the 78th anniversary of the Japanese attack that marked the United States' entry into World War II on December 7.NAS Pensacola employs more than 16,000 military and 7,400 civilian personnel, according to its website.
