A New York native, Sweeney, 60, has had a long career in films and on TV. Sweeney and his wife said in a 2013 interview in Hinsdale Living magazine that they chose to settle in the Chicago area as a place to raise their children, and since 2013, they have lived in Hinsdale. In May 2016, Sweeney paid $830,000 for the house, which was built in 1969.
