Actor Jussie Smollett was sentenced to 150 days in jail for lying to police over a phony homophobic hate crime, capping off a bizarre three-year saga that was meant to inflame racial tensions and vilify Trump supporters. And he did NOT go quietly!
"I am not suicidal, and I am innocent!" Smollett defiantly shouted in the Chicago courtroom before being led off to jail while raising a clenched.
"I’m happy to ask the questions that are relevant and helpful," Linn responded."I absolutely treated him the same as everybody else." Smollett was convicted in December on five counts of felony disorderly conduct and acquitted on a sixth for telling police that he was assaulted by two Trump supporters who threw bleach on him and tied a noose around his neck. The former “Empire” actor said his attackers yelled, “This is MAGA country!” during the 2019 assault.
