Greens Leader Adam Bandt “demanded” the government put an end to new coal and gas projects in Australia even though it is an “impossible task,” according to Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“Now Mr Bandt says the Greens might pass the bills if the government were to introduce a climate trigger to its other environmental legislation,” he told Sky News Australia.
“Which would mean that the minister Tanya Plibersek, in approving anything under the EPBC, would have to look at the effects on the climate.”
