Canadian Open golfer rugby tackled by security who mistook him for a fan
Security at the Canadian Open weren’t messing around as a celebrating Adam Hadwin was brutally rugby tackled to the floor.had run onto the green to celebrate with his victorious fellow Canadian Nick Taylor, but a security guard mistook him for a random spectator.
Taylor’s caddie was one of the first to realise the mistake, but a number of people on course jumped to his aid, with Hadwin thankfully unharmed. In fact, the 35-year-old could even joke about the incident after, tweeting a photo of the takedown alongside the caption ‘Put it in the Louvre!’ He even changed his profile picture and header to an image of the incident and retweeted a Golf Canada official who’d written: “This is the bottle, and it’s going in the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame.”
