Adam Silver: Expansion Makes Sense Over Time - RealGM Wiretap
Ahead of Game 2 of the 2023 NBA Finals, Adam Silver was asked about expansion when he met with members of the NBATV studio show. Silver said it's something that is a possibility.
Silver said that the NBA has consistently said that they needed to finish the new CBA with the NBPA, before turning their eyes to new media rights packages. After that, Silver said,"We'll turn to expansion." Silver stressed that the league has nothing specific in mind, but that expansion"makes sense over time." The NBA commissioner also added,"There’s no doubt there are a lot of great cities we’re interested in having in the NBA.”
