An Adelaide woman is offering a reward to locate her wedding dress after her fiance accidentally left it on the roof of his car. Lindel Cain and her fiance Tom Mitton were this week picking up items from a storage facility in Adelaide’s north, when Mitton placed a box carrying the $2000 dress on the car roof, so the box wouldn’t be crushed by the other items. Cain said Mitton forgot the box, driving off with it still on the roof.
“We parked the car and walked along Port Wakefield Rd with trucks going 90km/h past us, trying to find the box somewhere on the side of the road.” The couple have had no luck, and are offering a $500 reward to find the dress and the box, that has Cain’s name on it. The bride-to-be said she’s been trying to make light of the situation and has now seen the funny side to her partner’s innocent mistake. “It’s going to make a very good speech at the wedding,” Cain said.
