Two-month-old pygmy hippo Moo Deng has been a social media hit since her keepers at the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Thailand started uploading snippets of her life online.At least one cosmetics chain agreed. Sephora Thailand told its social media followers to “wear your blush like a baby hippo” in posts promoting blusher.

“She’s very energetic and her cute appearance is soothing,” the Royal Thai Embassy in Tokyo said on X after a Japanese TV crew visited the zoo to report on Moo Deng’s celebrity status., sometimes known as a dwarf hippo, which is native to West Africa but increasingly rare due to habitat loss.
