From Loch Ness to Lake Trasimeno: RossEdgley's quest for the swim record continues 🏊
Lighter by 14kg/31lbs since his last swim in Loch Ness, Ross plans to be in water day and night until July 14, hoping to cover a targeted distance of 171km. He also aims to amplify the message of ocean conservation during his challenge.Ross is no stranger to remarkable aquatic feats. In November 2018, he became the first person to swim around mainland Great Britain. He completed the feat of 1,780 miles in 157 days, up to 12 hours a day.in the inaugural ‘Race for the Sea’.
Hoy cycled the harsh periphery of Loch Harport, while Ross swam through the turbulent waters of the loch. Ross put up a tough fight, covering 5.6km of challenging waters in a respectable 1 hour, 5 minutes, but Hoy clinched the victory with 28.6km in 54 minutes.
