Several families that fled Afghanistan two weeks ago have been released from hotel quarantine in Adelaide and will now be given support to settle into Australian life.

The local Afghan community greeted the new arrivals, with many holding welcome signs outside the medi-hotel, including Mursal Azimi who was there with her daughter."It was great to see them healthy and happy for their new journey in Australia to live their life in peace." Mursal Azimi and her daughter Rianna Azimi held up signs for the Afghanistan arrivals that said "welcome" in three languages.
