BREAKING A senior constable has been stood down over the 'unacceptable' leak of pictures of troubled ex-AFL coach Dean Laidley. DETAILS: 📝
, Laidley now faces “seven charges all up”, including: One each of stalking, committing an indictable offence while on bail and persistent breach of a family violence order and four other intervention order breaches.A leaked photo of Dean Laidley during his interview.It was also reported Laidely was a “broken man” in the months leading up to his arrest on the weekend.
Photos taken of the father of three wearing a dress, blonde wig and makeup during his police interview were later leaked on Twitter prompting anger from Laidley’s lawyer and legal rights advocates. Police have interviewed a male Senior Constable over the leaking over the photos. He has since been suspended with pay.
He will be charged on summons and could face up to two years in jail and/or $40,000 in fines. Separately he will face disicplinary action from Victoria Police which may include being stood down.
