AFL finals LIVE: Swans need to defy 105-yr curse as Blues hit peak form
The Blues are riding a massive wave of momentum, having won nine-straight games before their final round loss to GWS.
But with captain Patrick Cripps back, and Sam Docherty and ruck Marc Pittonet returning it’s a bolstered Blues outfit who will play the club’s first final since 2013.Interestingly, it was the Swans who ended Carlton’s charge in that finals series – but only two players remain in Sydney’s line up from that win.
It’s been more than six years since these two sides have faced off at the MCG – in their only meeting at the venue since the qualifying final of 1986.
