An AFL fan has labelled his six-year ban from Adelaide Oval as harsh but has apologised only to his beloved Port Adelaide, vowing not to jump the fence again. 7NEWS
“To be honest I think six years is a little bit harsh,” he told 7NEWS Adelaide.Adelaide Oval pitch invader Jeremy Cortvriend disrupted the Showdown in round 23.“You do it once, you get penalised for it,” AFL Fans Association spokesperson Ron Issko said.
“To do it again you’ve got to be penalised harder ... it’s silly, it’s stupid, the fans don’t like it. “Not only does it disrupt the game, and the momentum and flow, it’s also a risk to the players and umpires.”
