The Australian Football League has refused to provide a remedy with former female AFLW Umpire Libby Toovey at the Fair Work Commission.
Ms Toovey claims she was unfairly dismissed by the AFL after she raised concerns of alleged abuse and sexual harassment towards female umpires within the organization.
After an hour-and-a-half-long mediation between the parties, the AFL is dismissing the case of general protections claim because Ms Toovey had no workplace right to ignore instructions to cease pursuing allegations of female umpire abuse.
