The AFL has promised to crack down on online commentators who posted misogynistic and abusive comments on a picture of Carlton AFLW star Tayla Harris.
The game's Integrity Unit has announced the online trolls face having their MCC membership stripped, their club membership stripped and being banned from future AFL games. The furore comes after a photo of Ms Harris was taken down from a Channel Seven social media page after it attracted a slew of offensive, sexist comments. The AFLW star told reporters she thought it was important she 'speaks out' against online sexual harassment.
