Outgoing AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan says a start date should be confirmed in the next 24 to 36 hours, but a season expansion could still be a while off.
The start date of the next AFLW season will be announced within days, following a breakthrough in negotiations with the players' union.The AFL CEO says negotiations over a collective bargaining agreement are almost completePlayers want more rounds but McLachlan says: "We want to consolidate before we expand"
"I am confident we will get an arrangement in the next 24, 36 hours," McLachlan told reporters in Adelaide on Monday.
