“As national chief, I will make sure no conversation about First Nations rights is had without our chief being in the room.”
In June 2022, the AFN’s executive committee voted to suspend Archibald while an investigation took place into complaints by staff members about her conduct.This past June,assembly — where not all were present — held to address the findings of an investigation into staff members’ complaints about her conduct.
“This campaign is about restoring and rebuilding our national organization, which starts with listening,” said Pratt, a member of Muscowpetung First Nation in southern Saskatchewan who has served two terms as an FSIN executive. “I look forward to continuing to meet with chiefs across the country, sitting with them, and hearing directly what the most pressing issues are for their region.”
