The man's mobile phone was seized upon his return to Australia last December and he was charged with possessing child abuse material outside Australia. Police have alleged it was transmitted using two encrypted messaging applications, Telegram and Scruff.Police confirmed he had been charged with a string of additional offences, including 43 counts of distributing child pornography material outside Australia and 38 counts of distributing child abuse material outside Australia.
