A PR boss who struggled with an excruciating two-year battle with infertility has spoken out about her anguish over the Victorian government’s decision to halt IVF treatments amid spiralling Omicron wave.
The 39-year-old said the three-month blanket ban has brought “so much sadness” for her as IVF is the “only way” she can fall pregnant. “IVF is wonderful and yet it’s also heartbreaking, soul destroying and for the last two years, I have felt like a broken human. “For the government to cancel IVF means that any chance we had of starting a family are potentially destroyed,” she said.
“Please help us. IVF does not impact the health system. We know because the doctors and nurses are telling us this.
