Following a round of spring cleaning that resulted in more than 120,000 layoffs, employers are beefing up staff with specialists in AI and machine learning.
Employers like Apple Inc. AAPL, +1.93%, Netflix Inc. NFLX, +1.98%, Salesforce Inc. CRM, +0.08%, Amazon.com Inc. AMZN, +0.89% and Walt Disney Co. DIS, +0.29% are dangling high-paying jobs in search of talent.
Apple’s job listings on LinkedIn include openings for research scientists and engineers specializing in AI, paying at least $140,000 a year. Many of the AI job openings are based in the San Francisco Bay Area, which has quickly become the epicenter of AI development and startups, said Colin Fleming, executive vice president of global marketing at Salesforce, citing several research reports.
