A Greens MP who upset Labor at the last state election says the minor party could take another four seats from the incumbent government.
A first-term state Greens MP is confident the party will expand its Brisbane vote at the Queensland election – and has listed the seats it is targeting.
The Greens then picked up more federal seats in Brisbane at the 2022 election, and its members drew attention when they joinedQuestioning why a Labor government would target a union and not “big corporations”, MacMahon said the Greens intended to capitalise on the anti-Labor sentiment at the state election.“We know that more and more Queenslanders are feeling fed up with the fact that under Labor things have only gotten tougher. The cost of rent has gone up, the cost of living has gone up.
“We will be running big campaigns at the federal level to reach more Queenslanders than we ever have before to pick up new seats. “Every time they try and screw over renters, every time they try and line the pockets of the big supermarkets and the big banks, we need those Greens MPs in there fighting for everyday people.”
