But it is not all extra energy, and especially not when it is needed most, to meet the peak-demand evening period.
New transmission projects are also advancing more slowly than anticipated, bogged down by lengthy regulatory approvals and, raising questions about when output from new renewables will be able to reach customers even if those plants are completed on time.
