A man was taken to hospital from the scene
Police and paramedics were scrambled to a street in Tameside over a report of 'concern for the welfare' of a man.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Hathersage Way, off Mancunian Road, in the Haughton Green area at around 8.40am this morning . The air ambulance landed nearby. , police said. He was taken in a land ambulance, a spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service confirmed.Eyewitnesses told the Manchester Evening News a large emergency services presence descended on Mancunian Road earlier this morning. They said ‘loads of police cars and ambulances’ were in attendance following the incident in the block of flats at the corner with Hathersage Way.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said: "We were called to reports of concern for the welfare of a man on Hathersage Way in Denton at around 8:40am this morning . Police and ambulance attended and the man has been taken to hospital for treatment." A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We attended an incident at a private address following a call at 08.49. An ambulance, consultant paramedic and air ambulance attended. A patient was taken to the hospital by road."
