Talented right-back Dylan MacDonald is understood to be close to sealing a move to the Scottish Championship
Airdrieonians are set to sign East Kilbride right-back Dylan MacDonald as gaffer Rhys McCabe makes moves to strengthen his squad for a Championship title push next season.
MacDonald helped the K-Park club lift the Lowland League title this season after signing on a free transfer from St Mirren at the start of that campaign. He was a mainstay in the team, making 30 appearances for Kilby in the league, providing seven assists and scoring once for Mick Kennedy's side, but his contract with EK expired yesterday. He also scored a hat-trick in a 8-0 win over Whitehill Welfare in the Scottish Cup first round last September.
Another young Kilby talent could also be on the move with midfielder Kai Montagu a target for Airdrie's Championship rivals Raith Rovers. The under-20 player made four first team appearances last season, scoring once and providing one assist.
