AKRON, Ohio – Akron is once again offering its Mow to Own program, which gives vacant, city-owned lots to nearby property owners in exchange for lot upkeep. Since the program launched in 2020, more than 100 city lots have been given away. The program was started to help homeowners increase their yard sizes while reducing the amount of property the city needs to maintain, according to the city.
