Former radio host Alan Jones will appear in court for the first time since his arrest, facing 26 charges related to alleged indecent assault and sexual touching of young men over a 20-year period. Jones, 83, is accused of using his position of power to prey on young men, and his lawyer maintains his innocence.

The 83-year-old is facing 26 charges - including aggravated indecent assault, sexual touching and common assault - relating to nine alleged victims over the course of 20 years. "Alan Jones will assert his innocence appropriately in the courtroom. He denies any misconduct. This matter will be defended," Mr Murphy told reporters.
Police have alleged the former 2GB host knew some of the men personally and others professionally, while some Jones had only met for the first time when the alleged offence occurred. Jones on November 18 was charged with 24 offences against eight victims, including 11 counts of aggravated indecent assault - victim under authority of offender, nine counts of assault with act of indecency, two counts of sexually touch another person without consent and two counts of common assault.
