The FAA grounded all Alaska Airlines flights across the country Wednesday morning.

The Federal Aviation Administration posted an advisory on its website before 8 am PDT stating, 'All Alaska mainline and subcarrier flights are ground stopped.'Alaska Airlines released the following statement shortly after the FAA's advisory:"This morning we experienced an issue while performing an upgrade to the system that calculates our weight and balance.

We apologize for the inconvenience and encourage guests to check the status of their flights on alaskaair.com or the Alaska App prior to heading to the airport."At 8:44 a.m., Seattle-Tacoma International Airport reported a total of 81 flight delays and 1 cancelation.Additional updates will be provided as soon as they become available.
