Anthony Albanese says he knows what it’s like to be teased in the schoolyard for his funny name - and it’s still happening.
Australia was a great multicultural nation where everyone had the opportunity to rise to the top, he said, but it still had a way to go. The Liberals have been running ads and posting signs around the country for weeks saying: “It won’t be easy under Albanese”. Albanese also acknowledged the contribution Italian migrants have made to the arts, culture, food and multicultural society in Australia.
