The Albanese government has moved to pass legislation on its $17.1 billion income tax cuts after Opposition Leader Peter Dutton condemned the plan.
Treasurer Jim Chalmers introduced the legislation to the House of Representatives on Wednesday, following scathingThe move could wedge the opposition on the matter ahead of the election, pushing Mr Dutton to go into the campaign opposing the tax cuts . and an “election bribe”, maintaining he would reveal his own policy agenda in his budget reply speech.
