Anthony Albanese said Australia is entering a 'new dawn and a new agreement' with France ahead of his meeting with Emmanuel Macron in Paris, as he was pressed on whether he would be apologising to the French President over the axed submarine contract.

The Prime Minister said July 1 would mark a"a new dawn and a new arrangement between Australia and France", noting there were"real opportunities going forward".
