Anthony Albanese has addressed the pushback from regional communities against renewable energy while protesters lined up outside the Bush Summit in Tamworth.
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese gave an address to the Daily Telegraph’s Summit on Friday morning and spoke about the energy transition as anger in regional towns increases over the issue.

The issue with transmission lines – a different one – it can bring of course economic benefit for people. We do need to deal with the transition and that’s something that the former minister acknowledged very clearly as well.”
“We have corridors you can’t farm under, can’t fence under, they got access to; it’s foreign companies that then end up owning it, wind factories, solar companies and for the people of the western suburbs of Sydney and the western suburbs of Brisbane – a power bill they can’t possibly afford.”
