“We can’t separate international events from the impact on Australia and Australians,” Albanese responded on Tuesday. “I have attended the Quad Leaders’ meeting the day after the election - that wasn’t a decision of mine to hold the election on May 21, that was a decision of the former Prime Minister.Credit:The first stop on Albanese’s recent Europe trip was in Spain for the NATO summit, where Australia was invited for the first time in a group called the “Asia-Pacific Four” alongside New Zealand, Japan and South Korea.
While touring Ukraine on Sunday, he announced that Australia would boost its military aid to the beseiged nation by $100 million.
