Police are calling for takeaway alcohol bans to be extended from two days a week in Northern Territory communities because they are having a “positive effect,” says Sky News Darwin Bureau Chief Matt Cunningham.
“People are also concerned about continued, and perhaps rising instances of break and enters and car
theft,” he told Sky News host Sharri Markson.“We’re a long way from solving the problems in Alice Springs.”
