Aldi shoppers rave over the store's latest £3.15 candles, which some say are 'better than Yankee' and 'last ages'
As the cold snap hits, there's nothing more welcoming than a beautifully scented candle to warm up your home. Yet, many high-end candles usually come at a high price - except, it seems, at stores like Aldi .
They wrote: "£3.15 from Aldi. Bought two for £6.30 instead of two Yankee candles at £56!" The social media post included a picture of Aldi's Purewick Soft Linen Scented Candle next to a photo taken in Tesco, showing a large Yankee candle in a similar scent, priced at £28. One person wrote: "Not a bad alternative!" Another confessed: "I want ALL the candles but have no where to put them!"
The discount supermarket is known to introduce seasonal candles regularly, much to the excitement of shoppers. Previous special scents include Black Forest Gateaux which came out around Christmas and Pumpkin Spice during Halloween.
