The supermarket giant released a plush toy in the King's 'likeness'
Some Aldi shoppers have been left 'gutted' after missing out on the chance to buy a limited edition toy for the King's Coronation.
The royal carrot was accompanied by his own Queen plush toy dressed up in an iconic nude dress and royal blue sash. One caveat of the toy, however, is that once they're sold out there will be no other chance to grab them. Announcing the toy, Aldi said: "Kevin will be running in royal circles as the king and queen of veg are set to join his patch. And at just £3.99 each, shoppers won’t have to pay a King’s ransom to get their hands on the pair!
However, some hopeful toy owners missed out on the unique opportunity to own their own royal veg. One user wrote on Facebook: "This release slipped by me. Only managed to get Charles, some stores I've been to haven't even had a sign for them!"
