Australia's top ranked male tennis player smashes his way to the round of 32 at Indian Wells as other Aussies fall.
Alex De Minaur smashed his Japanese opponent 6-1, 6-2 to move comfortably through to the round of 32 of the Indian Wells Open.De Minaur will now face number 20 seed Alexander Bublik or qualifier Juncheng Shang for a place in the round of 16.The recently crowned Acapulco champion was at it again on Friday when he raced into the round of 32 at the Indian Wells Open.The world number 10 nailed the big points against the Japanese star, converting five of his six break-point opportunities.
Sinner followed up his Melbourne triumph by winning another title in Rotterdam and, playing his first match as world number three, he eased to a 6-3, 6-0 win against the Australian.
