Alex Scott delivers brutal joke about Mauricio Pochettino's new job
The charity match marked new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino's first time back in a dugout since his departure from Paris Saint-Germain last summer. But despite guiding his star studded side to victory, Scott still grasped the chance to make the most of the new Chelsea gaffer's attendance and make a cheeky swipe at her former London rivals.
"World XI have gone and got themselves a new manager this year. Yes, new Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino," she said to the camera."Even though Dermot [O'Leary], I think he might last longer in this job than the other one. I'm just saying." Scott is of course referring to Chelsea's increasing feeling of instability after having three managers this season.
Thomas Tuchel was shown the door in September after two Premier League losses in six games and a Champions League loss. His replacement Graham Potter was then dismissed, too, lasting just seven months of his five-year contract after winning only seven out of 22 league games.
