A Sydney man who the Australian Federal Police allege accepted payment for information about Australian defence, economic and national security arrangements is due to face court today.

A Sydney man charged with selling information about national security is due to face court today.

Alexander Csergo, 55, was arrested in Bondi yesterday following a joint ASIO and Counter Foreign Interference Taskforce investigation. Federal Police say two foreign intelligence officers contacted a man offering him payment for information about Australian defence, economic and national security arrangements.Mr Csergo is in custody and due to face court in Parramatta.
