A tweet published late Friday afternoon by President Donald Trump stirred up more controversy and reaction from Democrats who found the message to be offensive.
Shortly after Trump posted the tweet, New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez called on Congress to"respond to the president’s explicit attack." "Ilhan Omar is a leader with strength and courage. She won't back down to Trump's racism and hate, and neither will we. The disgusting and dangerous attacks against her must end," Sanders said.
