All 25 James Bond movies will be streaming on Amazon Prime this month, starting April 15. Unfortunately, it seems like they'll be available for only a limited time.

The entire James Bond catalogue is coming to Amazon Prime this month. Based on Ian Fleming's novels, the historic Bond film franchise dates all the way back to 1962 when it began with Dr. No starring Sean Connery in the lead role. Since then, the long-running series has seen many continuity reboots with different actors playing the suave secret agent. Daniel Craig was the last actor to play Bond with his emotional send-off, No Time to Die, coming in October of last year.

Bond has been an incredibly successful brand for MGM Studios. The movies have grossed over $7.5 billion at box office, making it the fifth highest-grossing film franchise of all-time. When news of Amazon's acquisition of the century-old studio first surfaced, fans wondered what their plans were for the 007 franchise. Last month, Amazon officially closed a deal to buy MGM for $8.

The news was first reported by British publications which has led to speculation that the movies will only be available to stream in the United Kingdom, which makes sense since Bond is a British franchise at its core. Amazon hasn't clarified if the collection will only be available to stream in certain areas. Even if the April 15 release is limited to the UK, it should be begin to roll out in the United States and other locations very soon.

Amazon shelled out big bucks for MGM's entire library of films and intellectual properties, which also includes the Rocky/Creed and Robocop franchises. Thus, it was only a matter of time before the Bond movies made their way on to Amazon's streaming service in an effort to bolster their offerings. However, it's curious why Amazon would choose to make the titles available only for a limited time, considering they have the full streaming rights.
