Passengers with later flights who have not yet travelled to the airport are being advised not to arrive there without checking with their airline first.
All flights departing from Manchester Airport are facing cancellations and severe delays after a power cut in the area. It is understood an issue with the power supply in the local area has affected the airport and a number of other buildings. Sky News understands the power is back on but the impact will affect services throughout the day as the airport gets back up and running.
Airlines will organise any onward journey for those whose flights are cancelled. The airport is working to get all services back up as soon as possible, however they are currently not able to give a timeline. Inbound flights are less affected, but there are some delays at Border Control.
