The man accused of trying to kill a police officer in Sydney's CBD has been rearrested in jail this morning for allegedly assaulting prison officers. 9News
In one of the alleged attacks, police have accused him of trying to bite off the finger of one of the prison officers.Frederick Elrezz was rearrested this morning accused of attacking correction officers.Mr Elrezz has been in custody since the attack on the corner of Market and York Streets last Wednesday.
At the time, confronting images of the officer's injuries were released, showing blood streaming down his face and onto his hands and uniform. 9News was outside Riverstone police station as Mr Elrezz was transferred from Parklea jail this morning in a heavily tinted 4WD which had a cage on the inside.A probationary constable was allegedly bitten on the arm during an arrest.
