Almost $5m of drugs busted in NSW and Queensland

Almost $5 million worth of drugs have been seized during a police operation to crack down on a major crime syndicate in Queensland and New South Wales. 9News

Police from NSW and south-east Queensland targeted criminal networks in the Northern rivers and Gold Coast border region.

Officers located seven firearms, more than $150,000 cash, and a variety of prohibited drugs including methylamphetamine, cocaine and cannabis that they believe have a combined estimated street value of $4.5 million. NSW Police Acting Assistant Commissioner Jason Weinstein said the operation has put a dent in illegal activities between NSW and Queensland.
