UPDATE Scene cleared after Alta High School evacuated due to a suspicious bag left behind by a former student
SANDY, Utah — Alta High School in Sandy was evacuated Wednesday due to a suspicious bag left by a former student. However, the scene was cleared after an investigation showed there was no threat.
A spokesperson with the Canyons School District said the decision was made to evacuate the school as a precaution.
