Amazon has heavily discounted its offering of the PlayStation 5 Digital Edition in the “Slim” console. You can now pick up the iconic gaming device for as little as $569, a 16 per cent discount from its usual RRP of $679.95. As this is the digital console edition, it differs from the original PS5 in that it doesn’t contain a disc drive, so you have to sign into your account for the PlayStation Network and download games directly from the PlayStation store.
There is an ability to play a back catalogue of supported PS4 games on the console so you don’t have to completely replace all your favourite games. The pack comes with a wireless controller and a one terabyte drive. A vertical stand that helps to keep your console upright is sold separately. “Very happy with this PS5.
