A new trailer released for the upcoming Super Bowl gives a new look at Michael Bay's upcoming film Ambulance. Starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Ambulance marks Bay's first directorial effort released since before the coronavirus pandemic began in 2020. The film follows two robbers who steal an ambulance after their heist spins out of control. Ambulance is set to be released in theatres in April after multiple COVID-related delays.
Bay's Ambulance is actually an adaptation of a Danish film entitled Ambulancen. The original film has a similar premise, and was written around a three-rule concept. Firstly, the entire film must take place in one location . Secondly, the whole of the film must take place in"real time." Finally, there must only be four characters on the ambulance ride.
With so many different exciting shots of action fit into only one 31-second video, Ambulance seems sure to be just the thrill ride that fans will be expecting, and even craving, from Bay's next movie. The director certainly seems to be back in high gear and ready to deliver another action-packed adventure filled with"Bayhem" and madness.
