Sky News US contributor Cameron Stewart says “America is on the cusp of its third impeachment” and it is “remarkable” that the polls are not leaning towards “one way or the other”.
Mr Stewart told Sky News this was “consistent” across all polls, where there was “absolutely no trend” to support or oppose the impeachment of US President Donald Trump.
“One poll from politico shows 50 per cent of Americans do support impeachment, 42 per cent don’t, and eight per cent do not have an opinion, “I think this is a concern for the democrats much more than the republicans, because clearly they were hoping there would be some sort of surge of public opinion”, he said.
